Unarmoured and lightly protected vehicles in particular, may be exposed to shrapnel, bullets and blast effects in situations where their mobility and usability remain critical. Leaf Armor provides a lightweight composite-based protection solution for vehicles, designed to preserve vehicle usability as effectively as possible.
Leaf Armor panels are manufactured according to the shapes of the vehicle model. The solution can be designed based on the vehicle's intended use, load-carrying capacity and threat profile. Panels can be applied, for example, to the roof, hood, sides, doors, hatches or other critical areas. This means protection does not need to be implemented as a heavy generic solution but can rather be dimensioned according to operational requirements.
The panels are installed on the exterior of the vehicle, which can help avoid dismantling the interior. The mounting solution allows the panels to be removed and replaced when needed. This supports maintenance, replacement of damaged parts and upgrading of the protection level if the vehicle's mission or operating environment changes.
